About the book
Conceptual Foundations of Āyurveda – Physiology presents a systematic and comprehensive exploration of Ayurvedic physiology grounded in classical doctrines and supported by contemporary interpretation. The volume revisits core principles such as Tridoṣa, Dhātu Poṣaṇa Nyāya, Mala, Āśraya–Āśrayī Bhāva, Bala, Ojas, Prakṛti, Agni, and Āhāra Pāka, while examining their functional relevance in health and disease. It further elaborates the physiological understanding of Indriya, Manas, Ātmā, and Nidrā, and highlights applied dimensions of Kriyā Śarīra in daily regimen, clinical practice, and surgical contexts. By integrating classical Ayurvedic concepts with modern physiological insights, this volume aims to provide a strong conceptual and applied foundation for undergraduate and postgraduate students, academicians, and researchers in Ayurveda.
