About the book

Conceptual Foundations of Āyurveda: Svasthavṛtta presents a systematic and comprehensive exposition of Ayurvedic preventive medicine and lifestyle science. The volume elaborates the foundational principles of Svasthavṛtta, emphasizing Dinacaryā, Ṛtucaryā, Sadācāra, Trayopastambha, and the preservation of physical, mental, and social well-being. The book explores key dimensions of personal hygiene, environmental health, Yoga, preventive cardiometabolic care, women’s health, community health, and public health perspectives within the Ayurvedic framework. Special attention is given to lifestyle disorders, behavioral health, and integrative preventive strategies relevant to contemporary healthcare challenges. By harmonizing classical doctrines with modern preventive medicine and public health concepts, this volume aims to provide a clear conceptual, practical, and socially relevant understanding of Svasthavṛtta for students, academicians, practitioners, and researchers in Āyurveda.
