Dr. Kapil Mehar, MS, PhD (Śālākya Tantra) is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Śālākya Tantra, with over five years of dedicated academic and clinical experience. He is actively involved in teaching both the theoretical foundations and practical clinical aspects of Ayurvedic Ophthalmology (Netra Roga Vijñāna) and ENT disorders to BAMS students, with a strong emphasis on clinical correlation and classical textual understanding. His academic pursuits are centered on evidence-based Āyurveda, integrative research methodologies, and scientific scholarly writing. Dr. Kapil Mehar has published more than fifteen research papers in UGC-approved, Scopus-, and Web of Science–indexed journals and has authored two academic books in the field of Āyurveda.

He is also a recipient of the prestigious Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) SPARK-03 Research Guideship, reflecting his commitment to high-quality research mentorship, academic excellence, and the advancement of Śālākya Tantra through contemporary scientific engagement.
